Red flags
- No lot document path — supplier cannot explain how to obtain lot docs, or only quotes a website-wide purity number.
- Human-use framing — marketing that implies injection schedules, body-weight dosing, or personal dosing labels.
- Missing identity controls — no MS / HPLC method mentioned on lot paperwork when a file is finally produced.
- Pressure tactics — urgency copy that discourages paperwork review before a research purchase.
- Opaque company identity — no legal name, no contact desk, no shipping policy for reagents.
- Clinical-kit framing — bundles pitched for human administration rather than laboratory diluent math.
