Privacy Policy
1. Overview
BioLabs Research (operator details in our Terms of Service) ("we", "us") operates biolabsresearch.co. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, who receives it, and your rights.
2. Data We Collect
- Contact information: name, email, phone, organization, when you place an order, ask for a price quote, contact us, or subscribe to our list.
- Order data: products, quantities, prices, shipping address, the payment method you chose (card or cryptocurrency) and the amount.
- Payment data: see section 4. We do not store your full card number or card security code.
- Checkout progress: if you type your email at checkout but do not finish the order, we keep your email, your cart and the step you reached so our team can follow up.
- Source data: the link or ad that brought you here (UTM tags, the ad click ID, the referring website and the first page you opened). It is kept in your browser for up to 30 days and added to your order, so we can tell which ads and links lead to orders.
- Shopping activity for advertising: the products you view, what you search for on the site, what you add to or remove from your cart, when you start checkout, enter shipping and payment details (only the fact and the method, never the details themselves) and when an order is completed (items and amount). It is sent from every page except the checkout page, unless you choose "Essential only" on the cookie bar. See section 5.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, from our server logs and, if you accept analytics, from Google Analytics.
- Page statistics: how long each page is on your screen, how far you scroll, which product options, cart, chat and menu buttons you use, what you type into the site search (we remove email addresses and long numbers before it leaves your browser), how fast the page loaded, the kind of device (phone or computer, and whether you opened us inside the Instagram or Facebook app) and where this visit came from (a source name and the campaign, ad and placement labels of an ad link; not the ad click identifier). A small script of ours sends this to our own server, which stores it without your IP address, browser details or cookies, for up to 30 days. We use it for daily summaries for our team, which do not name any person; the names of the actions (not your search text) also go to Microsoft Clarity, described in section 5. The script runs before you answer the cookie bar, does not run on the checkout, order confirmation and account pages, and stops once you choose "Essential only" or Decline.
- Communication data: messages you send us through contact forms, email or the chat.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To take and process your order and payment, and to ship it.
- To answer your questions, quote requests and support messages.
- To send emails about your order (confirmation, payment, shipping and delivery updates).
- To send lot document and restock notices if you subscribed to them. You can opt out at any time by writing to admin@biolabsresearch.co.
- To detect fraud and misuse, check sanctions for cryptocurrency payments, and keep records for compliance and legal purposes.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To measure how our advertising performs and to show our ads to people likely to be interested in them.
4. Payments
You can pay at checkout by card or by cryptocurrency (USDT or USDC), or ask for a price quote. BioLabs Research is a research-use-only (RUO) shop.
Card. Card payments are handled by third-party payment providers. Depending on the provider used for your order, you enter your card details either on our checkout page or on the provider's own secure payment page, where we are not shown them. When you enter them on our checkout page, your card details travel through our server, over an encrypted connection, to the payment provider so that the payment can be authorized. We do not store your full card number or security code. We keep only a masked card number (the last four digits), the card brand, and a one-way fingerprint that cannot be turned back into a card number. We use these to match the payment to your order and to spot repeated failed attempts. Data you enter on a provider's page is handled under that provider's own privacy policy.
Cryptocurrency. We show a wallet address and the exact amount on the checkout page. Blockchain transactions are public. To confirm your payment we record the transaction ID, the network, the amount and the sending wallet address.
Price quotes. If you ask for a price quote, we keep the details you send (name, email, phone, organization, address and requested items) so we can reply. A quote request does not charge you.
Order, quote and checkout records are stored on our servers and, where needed, in our email system.
Chat with Mia. The chat window on this site is answered by Mia, an AI assistant, and by our team when you ask for a person or Mia passes the conversation on. We keep the conversation, the first name you give, the page you were on, the items in your cart at the time, the reference of your last order placed in this browser, the email address and name of your customer account if you are signed in, and your email address if you leave it, for 180 days after the last message; our team reads these conversations in our customer system. Replies are generated by Anthropic, PBC (United States), which receives the conversation for that purpose. When you ask for a person, or Mia passes the conversation to our team, our team gets a short excerpt of your last message through Telegram. We do not store your IP address with the chat. Please do not type card numbers or other payment details into the chat; card numbers are removed before a message is saved. To have a conversation deleted, write to admin@biolabsresearch.co.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data for money. We share data only with the providers that help us run and advertise the shop, and only what they need:
- Payment providers: card details and order amount, to authorize and settle card payments (see section 4).
- Shipping carriers and fulfilment partners: name, shipping address, phone and order contents, to pack and deliver your order.
- Customer.io: our email service. It receives your email address and name, and events such as cart, checkout and order status, to send sign-in codes, order emails and, if you subscribed, our list emails.
- Anthropic, PBC: generates the chat replies, as described above.
- Google Analytics: usage statistics, only if you accept analytics.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation): recordings and click maps of how visitors use our pages, to find what confuses them. It sees pages visited, clicks, scrolling and your device and browser details; text you type, numbers and email addresses are hidden before they leave your browser, and the chat window, checkout, order confirmation and account pages are not recorded. It does not load if you choose "Essential only". Microsoft processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Google Maps Platform (Google LLC): when you type a delivery address at checkout, the text you type and your IP address are sent to Google to suggest matching addresses. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
- Advertising measurement (Meta Platforms, Inc.): unless you choose "Essential only" on the cookie bar, we send the shopping activity described in section 2 to Meta, together with your IP address, browser details, and Meta's browser and ad click identifiers. For a completed order we also send the order number and amount and your email address, phone number, name, city, state, postal code and country, which Meta matches to its own accounts. Meta uses this to measure our ads and to decide who sees them. We never send card details, your street address, or anything from the checkout page. The tags that send this data run through Google Tag Manager on a server hosted by Stape, and are set up and maintained for us by our advertising agency. Under some US state laws this counts as "sharing" personal data for advertising; choosing "Essential only" turns it off.
- Our hosting provider: stores our website and order records.
- Regulatory authorities: if legally required.
Some of these providers are located in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country.
6. Cookies and Browser Storage
Your cart, your age and research-use confirmation and your cookie choice are kept in one small essential cookie and in your browser's local storage, which the site needs to work. If you sign in to your account, we also set one sign-in cookie (__Host-blr_acc) that keeps you signed in for up to 90 days; it is not used for tracking. The source data described in section 2 is also kept there for up to 30 days, and is removed if you choose "Essential only". The Google Analytics script loads on each page, but it sets no analytics cookies or identifiers until you Accept on the cookie bar. The advertising measurement tags described in section 5 load on every page except the checkout page and may set their own cookies and identifiers; they do not load, and nothing more is sent, once you choose "Essential only". The page statistics script described in section 2 keeps a random tab number, the count of pages seen in the tab and the ad placement label of the visit in your browser's session storage, which is deleted when you close the tab; it sets no cookies. The Microsoft Clarity script described in section 5 loads on the same pages as the Google Analytics script; it sets its cookies (_clck, _clsk) only after you Accept and does not load once you choose "Essential only".
